Welcome to Lewis & Clark Middle School

Welcome to Lewis and Clark Middle School (LCMS), the home of the Explorers. We offer a comprehensive middle school program that includes the core classes of English, reading, social studies, math and science. In addition to these classes, we provide PE, both instrumental and vocal music, art, home economics, computer applications, guitar and film making. Along with these we also provide exploratory and elective classes as well as extracurricular offerings. These opportunities insure that LCMS is a great place to learn.

Our school is proud of our diversity. With over 13 languages spoken and a representative population of all socio economic strata, we are proud to offer a common academic and extracurricular program to all students. As we “Prepare Today’s Students for Tomorrow’s Challenges” we are dedicated to the academic, physical and social development of our students. Our mission statement best describes what we do. Lewis and Clark Middle School exists to guide academic, physical, social and emotional needs of students in order to achieve independent success.

In our ninth year of existence, we have quickly developed a tradition of excellence with exceptional technological capacity, outside recreational opportunities, a complete library, a hot lunch program and a multitude of opportunities for our students. All of our students including those who are gifted and talented are learning the skills needed to be successful as they grow up and take on the challenges of the 21st century. Please come by and visit. I am sure you will agree that LCMS is a great place to learn. Our goal is that all students learn and that they exhibit the character traits of respect, responsibility, resilience and the development of relationships. It is our privilege to serve the students and this community.
